Teaming Up When Delivering Warrants in High-Risk Areas

Following the recent shootings of Chicago Police officers, Local 700 is asking the Cook County Sheriff's Office to pair up deputies who serve warrants in high-crime neighborhoods.

"In light of the recent violence, we think it's crucial that our deputies have back up with them when they're delivering warrants in troubled areas," said William P. Logan, Assistant Trustee for Local 700.

The Sheriff's Office said it's taking the Local Union's advice into consideration.
