Local 700 Files Unfair Labor Practice Complaint Against Cook County Chief Judge

Teamsters Local 700 filed an unfair labor practice complaint against Circuit Court of Cook County Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans for his alleged violation of labor rights guaranteed to Cook County Social Service Case Workers.

The Teamsters have determined the chief judge has violated members' Weingarten Rights by refusing to provide the union with sufficient information on investigatory meetings.

Workers represented by Local 700 have the right for a union representative to be present during all investigations and interviews. The Teamsters must have access to information pertaining to the investigatory hearings and interviews in order to uphold and enforce these rights.
