Local 700 Begins Contract Negotiations on Behalf of Its Illinois Tollway Members

Teamsters Local 700 begins contract negotiations with the Illinois Tollway in mid-September.

The first two bargaining sessions are scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 16, and Tuesday, Sept. 21.

"Our legal staff, stewards and myself will be there advocating on our members' behalf to ensure that they get the best possible contract," said William P. Logan, Local 700 Assistant Trustee. "We've already met as a group to discuss strategies for these negotiations."

Local 700 Assistant Trustee Becky Strzechowski said union representatives will continue asking for member input as negotiations progress.

"We will solicit input from the entire membership. We're in the process of proposing upcoming meeting dates for both union staff and Tollway members," Strzechowski said.
