Local 700 Wins Back Overtime Pay for Cook County Department of Corrections Officers

Teamsters Local 700's legal staff recently won back overtime pay for more than 20 of its Cook County Department of Corrections officers.

"Our officers are receiving pay for blatant overtime violations related to seniority," said Local 700 Assistant Trustee William P. Logan.

Local 700's legal team also won back benefit time for one of its officers, who was injured on the job.

"We got him his benefit time back. The Cook County Sheriff's Office unfairly docked him benefit time for an injury on the job," said Logan.
