Sept. 28, 2010 Local 700 Secures Raises for Wood Dale Employees After four contract negotiation sessions, the City of Wood Dale agreed to give its Local 700-represented employees -- records clerks, community service officers and telecommunicators -- 4 percent raises for the first two years. The pay increase will be retroactive to April 2010. "Our Wood Dale employees work hard every day," said Local 700 Trustee John T. Coli. "We understand that times are tough, but our members are not immune to the hard hits the economy is delivering. This raise is greatly appreciated and deserved," he said. "Right now, every little bit helps, and we're pleased with the results," said Local 700 Assistant Trustee William P. Logan. Salaries are expected to remain stable during the third year of the contract. However, the City agreed with the union in "good faith" to address raises during the third year, depending on whether or not its financial situation improves. |
