Union Welcomes New Members in McHenry County, Lansing

Teamsters Local 700 recently welcomed three new bargaining units, which soon will begin negotiating for first contracts.

McHenry County home health nurses and Lansing clerks joined Local 700, which represents more than 13,000 public employees throughout Illinois.

"Our local union continues to grow, and to grow stronger," said Becky Strzechowski, Local 700 Assistant Trustee. "Each new bargaining unit already has been assigned a business representative, who will be seeking member demands in order to negotiate the strongest possible contract based on each unit's specific needs."
