Local 700 Makes Endorsements for Chicago Municipal Election
Teamsters Local 700 has endorsed more than 45 candidates in the upcoming Chicago municipal election, which promises sweeping changes for elected officials citywide.
Local 700's endorsements include four Teamster members who are running for aldermanic seats across the city. In Chicago's 12th Ward, members are encouraged to support Jose Guereca; in the 19th Ward, the Teamsters are backing Phil Sherlock; in the 36th Ward, the union is supporting Bruce Randazzo; and Carmen Olmetti, who is also endorsed by the Chicago Federation of Labor, is the Teamsters' candidate in the 43rd Ward.
