Local 700 Completes Non-Economic Phase of New Department of Corrections Contract
Teamsters Local 700 recently completed the non-economic phase of contract negotiations with the Cook County Department of Corrections.
Local 700 has made significant gains for its members without making concessions. The bargaining committee really stepped up and has been vital in creating proposals and responses throughout this process.
Local 700 has received an arbitration panel to move the economic portion of the contract along as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, several individuals have been spreading lies about these negotiations for their own political gain. Local 700 is providing its members with a synopsis so they can see how hard their local union is working for them.
The complete contract will be available to all members once if has been created from the tentative agreements.
