JTDC Counselor Reinstated After Unjustified Termination Two Years Ago
After being laid off in November 2009, JTDC Counselor 2 Herbert Favors has been awarded his position with full back pay.
"This is just one of many examples of the extremely unfair new staffing policy," said Logan. "The Transitional Administrator clearly overreacted by using his authority to unjustly terminate an employee."
Favors was awarded his back position on March 12, 2011. Local 700 representatives have sent a letter to Transitional Administrator Earl Dunlap requesting a start date for Favors.
"It should go without saying that two years is a very long time to be out of work and without pay, especially in this economy," said Coli. "Our hope is to get Herbert back to work as soon as possible."
