April 20, 2011 Master Sergeants Across Illinois Gather for Regional Meetings Over the course of four days, Teamsters Local 700 representatives held meetings across the state for Illinois State Police Master Sergeants. Dozens attended the meetings aimed at discussing discipline and policy change issues. "These meetings give us a chance to reach out to all Master Sergeants," said John T. Coli, Local 700 Trustee. "Ideally, we would want to visit all members individually, but that just isn't practical considering the Master Sergeants are spread out by hundreds of miles." The meetings were held on the following dates for these Regions: Region IV 6 p.m. Region III 6 p.m. Region II Region I 6 p.m. Members were reminded that the Master Sergeant website, isp700.com, is updated frequently with stories and all agreements between the union and the Department. Newsletters containing updates on policies also were distributed to Master Sergeants at the meetings. The next series of state-wide Master Sergeants meetings will be held later in the year.
