November 3, 2011 City of Wood Dale Welcomes New Steward, Congratulates Other Members Teamsters Local 700 congratulates several members from the City of Wood Dale on their dedicated service to the union. Former steward William Frese stepped down as steward after his promotion to Sergeant. Frese was instrumental in several contract negotiations and was a dependable steward. Officer Chris Zito, who was elected by Wood Dale members on Sept. 28, is replacing Frese. Zito is coming up on his ninth year with the Wood Dale Police Department and has been with the Teamsters since his unit was first organized. Local 700 would also like to congratulate Wood Dale member Ron Lamorte, who retired at the end of September after 28 years of service to the department. “We would like to congratulate all three of these members,” said Becky Strzechowski, Local 700 Assistant Trustee. “While they are all at different stages of their careers, they have all shown immense dedication that we are very proud of.” |
