Teamsters Put at Ease Over Resolved Grievances
Teamsters Local 700 representatives and officials are constantly working toward fair settlements for members. Below are a few of the most recent grievance resolutions.
Cook County Court Service Deputies
A Teamsters Local 700 Cook County Court Service Deputy had her 30-day suspension reduced to 10 days. The member had, with permission from the Sheriff’s office, used more FMLA days than she had. When the sheriff’s office tried to use this against her, Teamsters Local 700 filed a grievance, which ultimately found fault with the department.
Cook County Clerks
Three Local 700 Cook County Clerks recently had disciplinary rulings reduced. One verbal warning was taken out of the file, a one-day suspension was reversed and the member will be given eight hours of compensatory time and a two-day suspension was reduced to a one-day suspension.
