December 21, 2011 Teamsters Hold Lake County Negotiators Accountable Teamsters Local 700 representatives successfully maintained current contract language for Lake County Corrections members after Lake County officials tried to bring in agreements from past labor unions. County officials tried to implement alleged verbal agreements made between Lake County and the labor union that previously represented officers. “When it came down to it, officials could not produce anything in writing to back up the claims of these alleged agreements,” said Local 700 President-Elect William P. Logan. “In the end, the County agreed to follow the legally binding documents that they have agreed on in writing.” |
