| Teamsters Local 700 Members Vote to Endorse Joe Biden for President at IBT Town Hall |

On Saturday, May 18, members of Local 700 joined other Teamsters locals across the nation by hosting our very own Presidential Town Hall meeting. This historic event was made possible by General President Sean O'Brien, General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman and the General Executive Board of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. As part of the town hall, Local 700 members participated in a straw poll to indicate their preference for president in the upcoming November 2024 election, and a significant majority of Local 700 members voted for Joe Biden.
“Political endorsements should be reflective of the members and their preferences, and it is clear that our members support Joe Biden for president,” said Local 700 President Ramon Williams. “I am pleased that the International Brotherhood of Teamsters is engaging presidential candidates and holding these town halls, and I am sure that the resulting endorsement will reflect the will of the members.”
Local 700 will continue to keep members up-to-date on any presidential endorsements, as well as endorsements for local, state, or federal offices in the upcoming election.
